Merkel SR1
Does any one have a report on this rifle. It's chambered in 9.3X62 and 300 win mag,as wellas other rounds. I might have to buy my firsy semi-auto hunting rifle in 40 years.

Some substantiated negative reports in the German Wild&Hund webforum on the Sauer 303 have made the Merkel S 1 appear more appealing now.

Also, can the bolt be removed for cleaning?
