scottfromdallasFederal Components
I heard Federal will be offering reloading components including some of their signature bullets like the Trophy Bonded Tips and Fusion bullets. I also heard Speer will be replacing their "hot core" with a bullet based on the Fusion (probably just "rebranded"). I have 2 boxes of the new 338 Federal Power Shoks from Federal and the box says it's a "uni-cor" design. It looks like the Fusion to me. I think this will be good news. I expect the Fusions/Unicors would be cheap considering the price of the ammunition. Federal wants $45 a box for their Trophy Bonded Tip so having it available to reloaders will be great.

Winchester 69Federal loads other mfr's bullets. Trophy Bonded's are made by by Speer, and they are currently available as components. I've forgotten who makes the Fusion (Remington?), but I don't recall it being Federal. Federal is owned by ATK, the same company that owns Speer, CCI and RCBS.
Federal also loads Nosler and Barnes bullets.

Winchester 69Guess that clarifies that Fusion is a Speer product. Apparently what is being said is that the Fusion bullet will soon be available to reloaders.

Fish30114I'm just anxious as to when they will let us get the Trophy Bonded Tipped bullet as a component!
