Mossberg rifles
Anybody used these? I've seen them at different retailers, and they're a great price, and the actions feel really smooth. (even being brand new).
So what's everybody's opinion on these? I'm on a budget, and I'm not looking for a target rifle, just a good hunting rifle.
I've also looked at the Weatherby Vanguard and the Savage rifles.

ReloaderI personally haven't shot the new Mossberg Bolts but, I have seen the old Mossberg bolts turn out some pretty descent groups. Talked to one guy that picked up the new cheapy Mossberg and he said it was pretty accurate and made a good knock around gun.
I personally feel you'd be better suited by going w/ the Stevens/Savage 200 in that price range or maybe the Savage 110 w/ AT. May also find a cheap deal on a used 700 at a pawn shop.
Good Luck

Reloader, Thanks, I was just curious. I'm trying to keep my options open, and look at everything on as even a plane as I can.

I'm only somewhat familar with Mossberg. But the ones I'm aware of are made by Howa just like the Weatherby Vanguard. Many of the carry the 1500 Model number.
Jay, Really? That's very interesting. Thanks for the info. I'll have to look into that, and see what I can find.
