I am deer hunting Southern California next year so I will be taking a rather long shot 400 yards maybe a little more. I haven't used any of the Bergers but I am considering the 168gr VLD due to the distance, I am concerned about wasted meat with that bullet. Anyone use the 168 Berger VLD in 7mm-08 at long distances? I would prefer a more controlled expansion bullet but can't find one with that high of BC.
