ReloaderSteyr Rifles????
Do any of you own Steyr Rifles?
How accurate are they?
Thanks,
Reloader
I own four Steyrs and they are extremely accurate. They are the most accurate out of the box guns that I own.
Currently they are being imported by:
Steyr Mannlicher USA, Inc.

steyrmannlicher@bellsouth.netI have just gotten a "Classic Mannlicher" and it is very accurate. Tony Rosetti of Steyr USA is a very good person to deal with.

lawndartI have an SBS Prohunter in .376 Steyr. Very accurate. I have a Scout in .308. I just love it. Accurate and reliable. The safeties are in a good position (on the tang). Hard to describe the trigger pull, not bad at all, just different. I'd get another one in a heart beat.

cwilsonI own three Steyr SBS rifles and am very happy with them. All three are very accurate and they have good triggers. I have yet to hear of one that would not shoot. Buy one and try it for yourself, I doubt that you will be disappointed in its performance.
The only knock that some people have on the Prohunter rifles is the flimsy stock and the appearance of the gun.

lawndartCDNN has the .376 Steyr Scout Package (includes Leupold 2.5x IER Scout Scope) for $1,199.99.
I own a Steyer S in .300 W.mag since 1994, its the old model with rear locking lugs and safety on the right side of the action.
It was the first rifle I owned and I LOVE IT, it is very accurate and I really like the smoothness of the bolt. Apart from that its a beautiful rifle.
I would not hesitate to buy another Steyer Mannlicher rifle.

aHunterNever, ever, saw a Steyr that would not "shoot"!
All you have to do is keeping the screws tight. No rebedding, no free floating, no rebarreling, use good ammo and you will find a load ( or lots of it ) that will reliably shoot under or slightly above one inch.
Look at Steyrs Superlight!
I dont like their feel on repeating, but I never have to worry about accuracy in a Steyr!
Have fun, Hermann

N E 450 No2I have owned 4 Steyr rifles. All were very accurate. I also have quite a bit of experience with several other SSG rifles in 308. Those too were very accurate. I can safely say that the accuracy of a Steyr is pretty much a sure thing.
