Only in cal. .30

Interesting, even in Germany, that the first offering is .30 cal and in an '06!

that point design looks like the nose of a naval Armor piercing projectile.

Yeah, naval AP shells look sleek and aerodynamic
like a 50cal ball projectile, but only because they have a long tapered aluminum fairing over the front.

The idea of the "cup" point is that the sharp edge will dig into the hard surface it impacts and hook into the surface
instead of ricocheting off.

The same principle should apply to solid penetrators for heavy game animals if you want the projectile to go THROUGH bone instead of deflecting off of it.
