Hi I just got back from the range where i had some fun shooting my 9.3x62 first off i shot in a 100 target clay bird shoot with my beretta sxs then i fireformed some of my reformed 30/06 brass
I full length resized the brass trimed to 2.441" I loaded them with 50gn of varget and a 270gn speer seated to just touch the rifling set up a target at 50m (the scope had only been bore sighted a 4x32 meopta for those interested) and fired away the first 3 shots hit pretty well spot on point of aim and grouped around 1"so I moved the target out to 100 and tried again this rifle looks like it is going to shoot if I do my bit it is capable of holding around 1" at 100m for a large calibre i am rapt with that sort of accuracy however once the barrel heats up it does tend to wander it is only a light barrel
all the cases survived the fireforming process but they have lost about .015" length they now measure 2.425" so I am a touch short of the trim to size all in all a great day the shoulder knows it's done some work today

glad to hear it went well. Did you find the Meopta had enough eye releif ??

I have not tried my loads yet I have loaded 3 rounds at 54, 55, 56 grains of AR2208 behind the 270 gr speer in Lapua brass. Have not had a chance to get out yet. I have mounted a leupold 2-7 Vari X11 in warne fixed rings on it.

PC the eye relief was a little akward I've got the scope back as far as i can get it and still have to crawl up the stock a bit to get a full circle but no weatherby eyebrow!! (yet)
I am waiting for my lapua brass from grafs so i am only loaded light loads just to fireform I have loaded some of the nosler ballistic tips in the fireformed cases still only a light load 53gr 2208 I want to weight how much 748 fits in a lapua case and compare against a reformed 30/06 case before i start loadind up the reformed cases

What type of rifle are you using...just curious , as I would like to have a 9.3x62 someday.

Biathlonman my rifle is a mark x mauser fitted with a locally produced sprinter barrel fitted into a synthetic stock with a terta industies bridge mount and 4x32 meopta scope if you want to get a 9.3 get one sooner rather than later i have been very impressed with mine even though i haven't used it for hunting yet
