chuck375.270win vs .270weatherby
My 270 has over 30 elk to it's credit, this last one was my youngest son's first elk. You can see the vintage BDL in 270 I bought in 1968 on his shoulder.
The answer lies in: are you a outdoors hunter or a keyboard one?
Any
minor gains made in trajectory are totally irrelevent and not noticed by the former (one who knows how to shoot). The latter will still miss the shot anyway.
Any .277 caliber will do the same job on its target. I just prefer a .300 Win for elk sized game, which makes the smaller calibers are irrelevent for me.
Get the one
you like better, not what anyone else thinks. You'll prolly even shoot it better, imagine that.

chuck375Then why don't you shoot a 30-06 since the trajectory gains are irrelevent?
