110 TTSX in a 270 are pretty close to 120's in a 7 mag.

Yes, Jack O'Connor would not need to sell a 270 for pronghorns. The best compromise now are the LRX bullets, 129 grains in .277" and either 145 or 168 grains in .284". Stability and accuracy would be decisive for the particular rifle.

While the same might apply for the 416 , and be able to go to a lighter bullet , I still have quite a few boxes of the Partitions for the 416 , so with 400 grains on tap I might just stay with those . On the other hand I see good reports even with the 350 Barnes on game up to buffalo .

While each rifle is different, what is y'alls general experience with these new Barnes TSXs and coppering up your barrels, versus say what I posted first about having quite excessive copper fouling with the old X bullet ?

Glad to hear you mention the .416"s. Great calibre and great bullet in the 350 TTSX. I run both 350TSX and 350TTSX hot, 2800fps, and find that my 416s clean up fairly easily. The .444BC TTSX makes the .416 an ultimate allaround and longrange rifle for Africa.

Totally agree. I was hot for a 7RM until I just couldn't see the numbers to justify it. It doesn't really shine until you hit 160. 162 AMax is the best deal going for it. That being said, the 300WSM got my attention and I'm not planning to be disappointed. 200 NAB should should work well..
