.356 Winchester AE XTR
Hello from Scotland~

I have found a Winchester AE XTR in .356 second hand and in excellant condition. Im not sure wether to buy it or not.

I love my Marlin .444 lever, but will i like a "Winnie" ???

My mate in Texas has only good things to say about the Rifle and calibre .356 and i was after a .358 in a bolt action but cant find one !

Would appreciate any veiws on this rifle ?? It a newer repeating arms model with safety.

A lot depends on the price. Since the cartridge never caught on it will always be a problem getting ammo so offer a very low price and then you can have some fun.

There was a thread somewhere on what bullet to use for handloading as someone felt that the 180 Speer flat nose does not have a wide enough meplat for safety.

I have one and love it. Ammo is a bit expensive but not hard to get. Nice huntin rig, fairly light, and powerful. Just about the same ballistics as the famous 348 Winchester.
