My bet is that Winchester has a winner in this 8mmWSM SOLD AS 325WSM. Very well could become THE medium bore for Americans.

I certainly hope so, but with the anti metric bias here in America, who knows.
A prime example is the fact that the 270WSM is selling well while the 7mmWSM languishes.
The 270WSM will do nothing that the 7mmWSM will not.
When the 270 Win. was introduced, there was nothing similar in an American factory chambering. The 270 Win was (and is) a fine cartridge, and the 270WSM performs well also. But, since most of us on this forum are "handloaders", the 7mmWSM has much more to offer in versitility, with a slight edge in performance.
The 8mmWSM compared to a .338 version is a similar scenerio, a much wider range of bullet weights, and if the 325WSM is at all popular, more bullet choices will be available. And, if what has been posted here is true, it has a definate performance advantage over a .338WSM.
All it will take is an open mind by the American shooting public to give the 325WSM a chance to attain the popularity I think it deserves.
From some of the posts I have seen from European members, it certainly seems to have thier attention.
