Joel/AKnewest and last build
I turned this in a while ago from parts I had laying around. figure what the heck, a couple of hundred to have it put together and I'm good for a nice hunting rifle.
action is a styr 1912, 22" barrel, timney trigger, bottom metal was off a a mark X along with the stock. I had a set of NECG irons laying around that fit the barrel. caliber is 7x57
I don't think it came out that bad for a low dollar build.

A lesson in irony
The Food Stamp Program, administered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, is proud to be distributing this year the greatest amount of free Meals and Food Stamps ever, to 46 million people.
Meanwhile, the National Park Service, administered by the U.S. Department of the Interior, asks us... "Please Do Not Feed the Animals." Their stated reason for the policy is because "The animals will grow dependent on handouts and will not learn to take care of themselves."
Thus ends today's lesson in irony.

Mike BrooksThe rifle looks very good. But for some reason the dog isn't thrilled about it!

Joel/AKThanks
that dog is the laziest SOB I have ever seen. Wife got it from the pound and in the last 2 years, I think it barked twice. I actually had to check for a pulse a time or two.
she's definitely laid back.

FjoldNice rifle, I would get a long great with that dog.
Wifezilla just picked up a 2 year old border collie from a rescue organization and the dog has decided that I'm the one that has to throw the ball for her 500 times a day.

get a tennis-ball machine---you can flat wear a dog out with it--

ClaymanNice looking rifle! Classic caliber, great action, durable stock - seems like the total package. You'll have to report back so we can see how it shoots.

Joel/AKIf i can find ammo ill go shoot it. This ammo thing is stupid.
Barrel is a cheap A&B, my smith raided his wifes ammo to test fire and said it shot the 175's great.
