Texas Blue DevilChristensen Arms Rifles,...Does anyone shoot one??
I've been looking at the Christensen Arms Custom One rifles. I was curious to see if anyone out there has experience shooting these rifles.
Your opinions and experience would be appreciated.
Thanks!!!

archer_375I had one made in .257 Weatherby. A friend had one made in .300 Win. Mine was never a great shooting rifle, but OK. (the .257 isn't known as a tack driver anyway) My friend has sent his back twice now, because it is about as accuracte as a Ruger Mini-14.
I traded mine in after one year of hunting for a Cooper Excalibur in .280. The Cooper shoots.
There are better guns available for your money. The carbon barrel concept is neat but I was never impressed. The gun sure was nice to carry in the mountains though.

tradewindsMy friend has a 375 RUM with the Carbon Fiber Barrel, it is custom barrel and not a factory barrel wrapped. I am working a load for Tanzania this year. It is very accurate with everything I have tried so far including SAF, which I have never had real good luck. he shot several factory loads and they where all acceptable. I have settled on 270 GR. TSX. It has fired groups like this several times, actually a couple where even tighter. It did have some feeding problems and he sent it back and it seems to be feeding fine now.
