Now that my commemorative Win 94 in .38-55 is dialed in, i want to make it a shooter taking it with me for bear protection while stream fishing and maybe a deer hunt this year. now that i will be packing it, should i change to a synthetic stock or just not let the odd scratch bother me?? Thanks for your input.

Iwould carry it just like it is, a rifle with a few ding's is one that can tell stories and carry memories of each hunt. to me a rifle that look's like it just came from the dealer is kinda ugly.
