I've decided on a 300 win mag on a mauser action topped with a swarovski.

I chose the win mag due to the availability of components in SA and its more than enough gun for everything including eland

You made a hell of a choice. I have a lot of different 30's but only recently started playing with the 300WM. Impressive round with a lot of available bullets and brass. Manageable recoil as well.

If you hadn't already made up your mind I woulda, like a few others, said 338WM.
