Dark Paladinnew stock
Hey guys, My uncle just bought a new remington 700 in 300 winmag, but the gun kicks too much for him with that pos rem stock, for a gift I want to give him a new stock that fits him, but it has to be a synthetic, W/ pachmar declerator pad, plz give me some input on good stocks.

hotweatherhunterI have used several aftermarket stocks on
different rifles(hs precision, hogue, and
Mcmillan). The houge stock realy had a neat
feel(soft rubber) but fit terribly and I had
to send it back. The H.S. precision stock that I have is on a rem 700 300 win, I really
noticed an improvment in felt recoil after
installing it, its slightly heavier and the
shape seems to work better. As far the quality of the stocks i've tried, the mcmillan wins hands down. they will cut the
stock to your requested length and install the recoil pad you choose. Its fit to the action is superior to the others.

DB BillThe McMillan web-site has an "internet" special section where they sell drop-in stocks at a nice discount....$300 ready to go. Take a look.
