Re: Can a Yugo M48A be converted to a 35 Whelen?
Guys, thanks for the information. I've been traveling for the last few days and wasn't able to get to the 'net. It sounds like there are better choices from which to make a 35 Whelen than a Yugo M48, and I think I'll just buy one of them, put on a Whelen barrel, and go from there. Thanks again. 8mmFan

Thats a good choice. A VZ-24 or a good Springfield would be a better place to start. One nice thing about the Springfield is that its pretty much a drop in proposition, the action and magazine are already long enough. The downside is that bbls are more easily had for Mausers.

Im just doing mine from the Yugo because; 1) it will suit my purposes fine, and 2) Ive already built up the rest of the gun and this will complete my battery (at least for a while) . Otherwise I'd do the same thing.
