Has anyone made .356 cases from once fired .308 cases??

I seem to remember that you can use 444 Marlin cases to reform, but I'm not 100% sure on that. You need to do more digging to verify. Good luck

According to an article by Paco Kelley on Leverguns.com he has used .308s right in .307 chambers and with very little extractor tweeking they work just fine...except for the rim the dimentions are the same. if that be the case then you should just be able to expand the necks and use them just as you would if you had a .358 Winchester.

Try it, you'll find out that 308 or 358 brass will work fine in a Marlin; I don't know about a Winchester. Do a search in lever action, it's discussed frequently there. Lou

There is no "risk" associated with using standard .308 brass in the .307 or .356, except the "risk" that your extractor may slip over the rim and fail to extract. The body dimensions are identical. I would not advise doing serious hunting with the "rimless" brass unless and until you had determined through extensive firing that it extracts reliably in your gun.

P.S.: Both the .307 and .356 are loaded to a lower pressure than .308 and .358 ammunition. So, regardless of what case you use, your rifle is designed for a more moderate pressure than is typically used in the rimless versions. Hence, do not use factory .308/.358 ammunition, nor ammunition loaded to .308/.358 maximum working pressures in a lever action chambered for .307/.356. Also pay proper attention to the nose shape of bullets used in a tubular magazine.

Sportman's Warehouse in Round Rock Texas has 356 brass, but alas I bought the last 100 pieces of 358 win back about six months ago, and they cannot (or willnot) get anymore.

NOPE but you can use 444 marlin. Been doing it for 10 years.
They do need trimming after you resize .

Try Graff and sons. It also showed up on e-bay a while back. I am down to 400 rds and would rely on mail order to get more. Win makes this on a 1 run a year basis which is why Sportsman's probably could not get more. Gianni.
