I would like to hear more about your battue 9.3x62. Is it a CZ ?? how are that ramp sight to use. My mate has ordered a 9.3x62 battue CZ and I opted for the American style but I still could be swayed.

No,mine is a Tikka Battue.
The quarter-rib on the barrel hold's the rear sight(fixed),the barrel is 20.5" long.
It was a gift from my wifes father!
He thought that it was worthless as he could not find ammo at the local shop!
The Rifle has made my trip's hunting around the states and lower Canada.The combo(rifle/cartridge)has not let me down so far!
Alot of people don't find the need for open-sight's,but I've had one scope get knocked out of whack and was happy to use my open sight's(the feral-porkers were better served with open sights anyway)
