My last custom .338 RUM. PICK'S
Rem 700, Walther barrel, AI stock, S&B 5-25x56, Badger 45MOA base and rings. Threaded for suppressor.
Weight is 10,2 kg, about 22lb?
First 3 shots at 100 meter measured 14mm/ 1/2", later has been better, 1/4".
Quite happy, customer likewise!

Cheers Bent, beer
This is one mean rifle, A lot of poeple were very skeptical to the barrel profile, but it shoots better than it looks.

AICS proves to be a good system but the 338 lap mags had to be modified by milling out stiffning ribs due to the shoulder is further forward on the RUM.

It has been christened it RUMenStein.

Shown here in South Norway earlier this summer. Part of the competition required 3 standing off hand shots in ~10 seconds at a charging buffalo. Not easy on a 22 lb rig.

Wouldn't be my frist choice for charging buff. But I think for long range elk it would be very usefull. Nice

Even a PAPER CAPE BUFFALO coming at you in a scope would be kinda scary...!

Hey, Jon A, think they'd let us hang these at Kenmore? Big Grin

Sure would like to get a couple of those targets
That would be real cool to take to the range for target practice.

Does it come with a wheel kit or does the final recipient have to get his own? I thought my Rem. Sendero is heavy at 10# with ammo and scope but now I'll appreciate how lithe and airy it really is. HEE HEE

Wheels would be nice, Cool actually a sherpa would be useful.

The targets are printed on 2 x A3 paper sizes and glued together.

so the targets are 16.5 inch x 33.0 inch.

I used a BR reflex telescopic suppressor earlier but the barrel is too thick for this one.

I have purchased a Alms titanium suppressor from Norwegian gunsmith ( Alms)

This suppressor doesn't have much effect on recoil as the rifle is so heavy, the sound reduction is ok but the mirrage from the suppressor is a problem.
