Identify Redfield Receiver Sight
I don't know where to get this information. This Redfield Receiver Sight is high quality, equal in features and construction to a Lyman 48. It was on a 1936 Winchester Model 54. Does anyone know the model number of this sight. I would assume it is valued the same as a Lyman 48 in similar condition.

I thinks it's an Re-W.

Nope that sight pictured is a Redfield model 70 Series. RE-W is what it fits

Common Redfields are Series 70, 80, 102

The large knob on the front is the slide release / slide lock, much the same as the small knurled knob on the rear of Lyman 48's mounted on the left side

I have been told on good authority that this is a Redfield 100W from the 1930's.

Yes, airgun, Stroebel shows it as a "100-W for M/54 Winchester". Unlike the ads he shows for scopes, though, he didn't date those for iron sights.
