Anybody been to the Nidway site lately. They changed it and it is really hard to negotiate. Thank heavens for Graf & Sons!

SFRanger7GPI agree. I was on it this morning and it does not appear as user friendly as it was before.

kaboomEvery software "upgrade" they make makes the site harder to use. Not that it matters, they are always out of stock anyway.

I sure wish Graf & Sons sold the 'smithing stuff that Midway did though.

bobhanson1I would suggest emailing them to complain as based on their response to me shown below they're perfectly content with the turd of a website they now have...
Dear Jarod,
Larry has reviewed your email and asked me to respond on his behalf. While he reads every email, due to the volume he can't respond to each one personally so I help him answer his correspondence.
While we work very hard to please all of our customers, we understand that not everyone is going to immediately love the changes we make, especially with the look and feel of our website.
We are hopeful that the design will "grow on you" over time, and that it will actually make your shopping experience better in the long run. Until then, I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience the new format causes you along the way.
On Behalf of Larry, Thanks For Your Business,
Lindsey

LWDYeah, well Lindsey, it still sucks. Tell Larry that please.
I understand things change, but as a longtime Midway customer I agree that the new website is hard to navigate. It's totally counterintuitive from what it used to be and what most other sites are. Who puts the menu of items on the side? Hmmm. No one but Larry....

GrumulkinI was navigating the MidwayUSA web site just last night and didn't experience the difficulty ya'll are having.
09 November 2011, 17:40
adamhunterI just went to it after reading this post. I didnt find it difficult to navigate at all. Load speed seems to be a little faster than it has been in the past too.
30+ years experience tells me that perfection hit at .264. Others are adequate but anything before or after is wishful thinking.
09 November 2011, 17:58
bobhanson1It actually loads much slower than it did previously because instead of bringing up only the items in a single category (i.e. select reloading, then brass, then the caliber and only the results you wanted display) its now displaying every reloading item first and you narrow it down from there which takes much longer for your computer to load (on slower speed modems it may not appear much different, but it is definitely slower in both loading and searching...)
09 November 2011, 18:08
Ken Clineyeah, it is a little over complicated.
Think of a specific bullet or brass you want to get. Then try to pull it up without using the search box. You can get there, but the former way was much easier.
I don't see why this is such an improvement as they claim.

carpetman1Years ago when Midway quit including shipping in the price, Larry was very much the wise butt in his stating it was his business and that was his decision to make. Well and good. But the folks that had items on backorder would now be charged shipping. They had an agreement and Midway could not hold up their end--didn't have item in stock--but the customer would pay??? Soon after Larry was posting pictures of the guns he was taking on safari. Well it was his decision but where I spend my money is my decision and I have not helped a penny with his safari's since the change.

Dave BushI just got off the phone with the customer service rep at Midway. Apparently, they are getting a lot of complaints.

BoxheadI just ordered a few things and had no issue finding them. Ain't that hard.

z1rIn certain instances the search box cannot be found.
Their search function has always been quirky! I like Grafs better too.

SR4759The new search format is kind of clunky.
I suspect it will be dumped.

WstrnhuntrI like using Midway but I was having problems with their site before. No bottom bar to slide from side to side. It was a real PITA..
They lost my last major purchase to Cabellas because of that..
Ill have to go try it again I guess..

LJSI don't like their new format either. They are on my S**t list because of their outrageous shipping charges. I complained to "Larry" that it cost me $5.00 to return an item that cost me $12.00 for shipping when I ordered it. The e-mail said there were handling costs. When I asked if the restaurant he frequents charges him a handling charge to cook his steak the responses stopped. Seems like they discovered a good way to add 7% to the bottom line.

perryJust got off of it...did not find it that difficult.

Let me join the other MidwayUSA customers—and I gather there are more than a few—who have voiced complaints about the new website. I understand things constantly evolve and that your company especially is a leader in this industry. But the new website is very counterintuitive to navigate and quite different from most other websites. Putting a random sampling of products in the middle of the page where customers are expecting the main navigation to be while placing the navigation on the left and requiring scrolling to get to most choices is just difficult. You can only see a few of the choices at a time. Don't make me hunt for the stuff to scroll through to get to what I want. Make it easy for me. This new website is just very difficult to use. Even the Midsouth website is easier to use than this new Midway website. Though the new website is still better than Natchez's, but that's not saying much......

Seasons44I make alot of purchases through Midway and the new site is diffrent though like anything it takes time to adjust. I spent some time on the website after reading this post and I dont think it will sway where my buisness goes, There service and shipping is top notch and I get my products faster than any other. just my opinion.

BISCUTMidway has gone the way of big business. Just because Larry says all the things you want to hear, doesn't mean he is listening.
Shipping sure is quick and he deserves credit for that -- but make no mistake, you PAID for that!
When there is a problem they are good to deal with it, but don't have a second problem because at that point you get what is tatamount to the guy in India asking you how you feel today 10x but not fixing your issue.
Still use them, but about 1k a year when I use to spend, under my name, about 9k a year. I bought for me and 2 others.
My issues were damaged items in shipping. For about 4 years never an issue. Then 2 packages in a row. 1st one they treated me like gold. Second time, they felt i was a liar. Brush off for sure. If they could loose my 9k a year and not worry, they don't care about much!
At least thats my opinion.

Joe DeanI can't fault it as it seems I can still find too much stuff to buy.

filmitI think Midway has gone downhill. They used to be my first choice. Now I only use them when I can't find it elsewhere. They used to have some pretty decent prices years ago, but I can usually find things cheaper elsewhere nowdays.
