SCgunnut has already said it. The cartridge (two of them with similar names but different dimensions exist) was very popular, even classic in single shots, cape guns (Bchsflinten) and Drillingen. Presently both Sellier & Bellot and RUAG-RWS load factory ammo for it, with RWS being hellishly expensive. It is _not_ easy to handload, in view of the overly large case capacity and the low max pressure.

It is barely possible to boost it over the limit of 2000 Joule at 100 metres within allowed pressure levels (using VV high-energy powders), but not really recommendable. Good cartridge for roe deer or whitetail. A bit too weak for red deer.

It was a very low pressure round for single shots, drillings & combo guns. RWS listed a 193 gr. bullet at 2020fps for 1750 foot pounds, about like the .35 Rem.
