hi there can a m93 or m96 be trun into a 35 or 375 whelen safely

No but there's always the 9.5 x 57 Mannlicher-Schoenauer, 10.75 x 57 or the ever-ready 9.3 x 57.

I would not do it !
Stay with the milder cartridges 6.5 swee 7X57 mauser
.257 R or an improved version , you could really hrt your self...tj3006

I agree with the above, but I have a 96 that was rechambered for the 6.5-06 round years ago, and is still going strong. The Swedish actions are made of very good steel, although not as good a design as the 98's. If it were mine, I would prefer to use a 98, for the Whelen cartridges. I have two commercial 96's, one in 9.3 X 57 and one in 9.3 X 60. There is nothing that a 35 or 375 Whelen will do that one of these 9.3's won't do (and the cool factor is much higher, in my opinion).
