DoublegunSake Black Bear?
Anyone have experience with a Sako Black Bear in 30-06? Accurate?

sambarman338Sorry, my only Sako is an old Finnbear - but I would be very surprised if any Sako line is not accurate.

DthfrmbvHad one in 9.3x62 that was an excellent shooter. If it was in .30-06, I'd probably still have it. I'm not a reloader.

I currently have one in 9.3x62 and absolutely love it.
Mine came in at 6.5lbs naked, is extremely handy with it's short barrel and very suited to hunting the thick, wet, mountainous forests that I am hunting with it. Very accurate too.
A very utilitarian type of gun.

DoublegunI don't need another 3006 and I would really prefer one in 375 but I really don't line that laminate stock. A buddy of mine had s custom Kevlar stock made for his Brown Bear but it was a significant investment.

LJSThe Black Bear is a synthetic stock. The Brown Bear is laminated and the Grizzly or Ursus is walnut. The Black Bear looks like the ticket for a hunter who hunts the forests with its 20 inch barrel.

mlazarusI bought the Grizzly in a lightly used version. Fantastic rifle. I would highly recommend the current crop of Sako.

lawndartYes, the current crop of rifles is almost as good as they were selling in the mid eighties through early nineties.
