Remington 700 Titanium
Does anyone have expierence with this rifle? I am looking at a 270 and was wondering about the titanium rifle. I have not heard much good or bad. How do they shoot, any inheriant issues with the Ti rifle? Any input would be greatly appreciated....

My Ti in 7mm-08 has been a joy to shoot/hunt with. It has been very accurate out of the box, no problems with the action. I was also looking at the 270 before I bought mine, just decided on a short action and will probably only use for whitetails. My old Browning BAR seemed to be getting a little heavier each year so I made the switch. As an alternative, look at the Kimber 84M in either walnut or composite stock. My brothers 7mm-08 84M in walnut is a really good shooting, great handling gun. If the Montana model (composite) had been out at the time I may have bought that instead. Hope this helps.

Fish,
Thanks for the input. I too was looking at the Kimber. Last week I handled a Weatherby Ultra Lightweight in 270. It was a nice looking/feeling rifle about the same weight as the Ti & Kimber. Decisions, decisions decisions!!!

I forgot that Kimber is not making the 84M in a long action gun .

How 'bout a 270 WSM. That would be a sweet shooter!
