6.5BRGuy at range has one, it does that well if not better, just loud.
If Rem made it in 7/08 or 260, I sure would take a good look, never was my cup of tea-the 308 as good as it is and cheap plentiful ammo.
About went the 20" tactical savage route, and they discontinued the 260! And the 708 was also in it I believe.
The LTR does balance nice, in fact one of my 708 Varmint, now in a VLS stock was shortened years ago to 21", LOUD, but ACCURATE and handy.
A 20-22" bull or fluted bull sure does handle/balance well if you have not handled one. That LTR is light enough for field use, not just stand use like some Long heavy barreled guns.

hvy barrelI have one in 308 Win. I just started working up a load using the 168gr Sierra MK's. The starting load group measured something like .353" center to center, that was a 5 shot group! I can't remember the velocity. The powder I started with was Reloader 15.
