WannabeBwanaMy keester hurts...
from kicking myself in the butt since yesterday morning.
At a gun show I ran across a P-17 action re-barreled to a 9.3 X 57 on a so-so stock. Included RCBS dies, 80 Norma Brass, 20 Norma factory rounds and a box of Nosler 250 gr. bullets. $450 asking, but I know I coulda got $75 knocked off that.
Reason I didn't buy it is that the sights were crappy, wasn't drilled and tapped, my wife needs a new car, repairs to her old car while we look for a new one, and just what the heck am I going to do with what I see as a ballistic cousin to my .35 Whelen?
All good, logical reasons. So why do I feel so bad?

I'd of bought it. I once passed on a pristine, all matching M96 Mauser for $45 and I still kick myself over that one. I vowed never again after that one...
