i would not feel handicapped useing the 200 Nosler Partition on everything out of the 06 @2700, hits hard breaks bones, drifts less in wind and seems to penetrate for ever, and you can be sure it will expand on both small/light game animals, as much as it will expand on large tough thick skinned game animals
Useing light bullets in the 06 is a step backwards....

Heavy partitions don't always expand well on light animals. Heavy for caliber, also means low velocity for caliber. Particians start with a more narrow wound channel.

Yes,

I am very happy with the grouping.

Pitty the chrono was giving me problems.

I expect them to be running around 2900fps. But will confirm this next time at the range.

From reports I have seen on the TTSX I believe they perform as expected.

The 3006 is turning out to be the plains and mountain rifle I was hoping for.

Gerhard,

Looks like the "field testing" went well. Waidmannsheil!

Thanks for the load info. Are other powders available, or just Somchem?

I tend to hoard obsolete bullets. When I like something I stick with it. I load my .308s with Nosler 150gr Partition Golds at about 2850fps, .30-06s are loaded with 165gr Deep Shocks at about 2850fps, and the two .300wsm rifles get 180 Deep Shocks at 2900fps. These are hunting loads, I lean towards Hornadys for range shooting. If something works why mess with it.
