richjI was a dummy today re: Ruger international
A guy had a Stainless Ruger 77 international in 7mm-08 at the show today. I looked it up, Lipseys, only 260 made. Guy wanted $895.

SnellstromYou are only a dummy if you didn't buy it and really wanted it.

B L O'ConnorIf it was in half-way decent condition, I hope you grabbed it up. I sure would have, given regrets I have now over opportunities missed.
I'd get it for the same reason I'd have bought one of those old 1-of-100 (or even 1-of-1000) Winchesters back in the day.
I view your Ruger as a very unique, historic firearm available at a bargain-basement price.
But I'm probably overly sensitive to this post: A few short years ago, I passed up an opportunity to buy to really nice Win 88s, a .243 and a .308, each with a 2.5 Weaver scope, for a total of $1,400.
I still awaken in the middle of the night hating myself for not taking advantage of my opportunity.

richjIt was kinda the only thing that stood out at the show. I guess I really didn't want it. The same guy had a tang safety 77 in 7x57

Idaho SharpshooterI'm not a stainless guy.
A blued one in 257 Robert or 358 Winchester; now that would have been a different story...

You should have grabbed it !

rl andersonThat was a steal. You could have resold it for a decent profit.

AtkinsonYour rifle, even used a bit, will fetch you at least $1200 and maybe more..I just sold a 06 for $1200 and bought one in a 7x57 for $1000..I see one on GI for $800..Lots of folks have not figured out what they are and how many were made.
These guns were special ordered by Hollowell and Lipskys and sold out overnight in each case. In each case there were only about 250 made and agreed never to be produced again as I understand..I have seen them in 30-06, 7x57, 250-3000, 7-08, and a couple of other calibers so far. I would dearly love to have a 250-3000 and would trade my 7x57 for one btw.
I'm not a SS person, but I love this SS and wood combo in this case..there just pretty, and they shoot great, believe its the short stiff 18,5" barrel that contributes to their accuracy.
