Posting here because it's a .300 Win.

I can't find anywhere online that indicates which scope bases work on the Nikko 7000 Golden Eagle rifles. I have several other models on hand, but Rem 700 doesn't fit and neither does Win M70.

Leupold doesn't include Nikko in their online "mount finder". No web site I've checked (Midway USA, Optics Planet, etc.) lists anything for the Nikko rifles. I can't find any posts (here or anywhere else) where this has been discussed before. :/

Here's the kicker... I have another Nikko 7000 in .300 Wby that came with a Leupold scope mounted with Leupold bases and rings, but I'd have to pull the scope off to check the part numbers on the bottom. LOL

Does anyone here know which part numbers I need? Thanks!

Since Leupold does, or did at some point in time, make bases for your rifle I'd give their tech. folks a call.

I thought Nikko's and Weatherby Mark V used the same bases, maybe my memory is defective.....
If it were me I too would call Leupold, they are usually very easy to deal with.

I got curious and removed the scope from the other Nikko (the bases and rings were matte finish, so it had to be done... lol) and the bases are stamped "710", which I assume means Remington 710.

I've tried Weatherby bases. No go.
I've tried Winchester M70 bases. No go.
I've tried Remington 700 bases. No go.

I'll call Leupold tomorrow and post what I find out here so no one else has to go through this.
