To save on shoulder, powder, bullet, and case costs, I just got back from testing some new loads: single digit grains of Red Dot behind a 93 grain hard cast bullet.

squeeze, hear, feel, watch bullet hit. hear bullet hit. Kind of like slow motion.

Chrono'ed at 940 fps with 3 grains.

WOnder what the convergence would be like for a double rifle with the Zero recoil effect...

Anyway, nice easy plinking load that my 16 year old enjoyed shooting more than the 286 grain loads.

PS They are quite lethal on water filled plastic milk jugs.

Where did you find the 93 grain cast bullets?

They are cast for the 9mm MAK pistol, which is apparently a .365 diameter.

I found them on ebay.

Right now I see there are also some copper guilded cast bullets at a bit over one hundred grains, for 12 bux for 250.

pretty economical plinking.

just dont bid against jameister for any of them!!

Although I note that the web page lists the standards size of the 9mm MAK as .356, the ones that I got were double checked and were sized at .365, perhaps a transposition at the plant?

any way they sized OK with my calipers at .365, and I emailed them first to double check.
