Heritage Arms7mm Weatherby Magnum
In a week moment this morning I picked up a new Euromark in 7mm WBY. I have used the calibre a bit, but never handloaded for it, the gun had been on the dealer's shelf for about 10 years and it even has the factory test target. The factory group was shot with 139 Spitzers, I like the 160's so any info would be greatly appreciated

jorgeAleko: I've used it and loaded the caliber quite a bit. If you can get a hold on an old Weatherby Guide, there are loads in the back of the booklet that worked great for me. The only drawback is the loads are dated, as they only use Norma MRP, OLD H-4931 and IMR 4350. Incidentally, the 139gr bullet you mention is a Hornady, which is what WBY loads in their factory ammo among others. I took my best deer with it!

R FlowersI shoot a 7mm Wby mag quite a bit and agree that the 160 grain bullets are pretty much the way to go.
My favorite load for the 7mmWby mag consists of a Remington case, a Fed 215M primer, 72 grains of IMR 7828, and a 160 grain Nosler partition. This load gives about 3200 fps in my rifle and shoots very good groups.
If you look in some reloading manuals you will find this load is over max in some but a grain under max in the latest Nosler manual. Nosler lists 73 grains as max, but only a velocity of 3040 fps. My velocity is a good deal higher (checked on 3 chronographs) so the pressures must be about max for my rifle. Having said that, the case life is good and the primer pockets stay tight for plenty of loadings.
If your gun does not shoot well with IMR 7828, be sure to try Reloder 22. It also shoots well in my rifle.
Just be sure to start low and work up to the max loadings. I highly recommend that Fed 215Match primer, it helps the groups in my rifle.

fredj338I don't have the 7mmWby. but I do have a 7mmDakota & they are close in cap. I also shoot various 160gr bullets & have settled on IMR7828 as THE power under 160gr. RL22 is a close 2nd. Give it a try, let us know how she shoots.

Heritage ArmsWell we sat down last night a built some loads for the 7mm Wby. We used H 4831 and 215 match primers. We used the 140 Nosler BT as a high speed varmint load. Our working load will be a 160 Nosler or an Aframe with H 4831. We also dug out some Grand Slams in 160 to try. Mounts will be here today, we will shoot on Sunday

300winnieHere is a link to the IMR powders loading book (specifically 7mm Weatherby)

FWIW I have used a 7mm Remington quite a bit, and I concur with the majority here...go with the 160 grainers.

South40My 7-Wby shoots best with 175 Nosler Partitions and IMR 7828. In the field, it's always been one shot, one kill.
