Nice stock design on the Gibbs.

How long is the barrel ALF? Full length military, or slightly shortened?

Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Alf. Being a military buff I really enjoyed seeing that military model.

Hi Alf

Are the Pleizer Mausers especially valueable or collectable? I ask because I have one.....

Not the best photo

ALF,

Good looking addition to your collection.
There's something classy about an iron sighted 7x57, like yours with the Gibbs stock. It's the great lines I think that make it very continental. My kids and I are 7x57 guys.
Thanks for the post and pix.

Alf,

Very interesting. When I had my 7x57 built I was offered an intermediate length big ring with small ring threads that had reputedly been used for '7mm Kurtz' Is this likely - can you tell us about the shorter 7mm?

That's a new one on me! I'm familiar with the 8mm Kurtz, (8X51mm) but not a 7mm. There is the 7X33mm Finnish, but that is not it. There is no 7mm Kurtz in COTW.....

Alf,

Many thanks - how do intermediate length big ring small ring threaded actions rate?
