I cant' answer your question about the rattle but cz stuff is all good I am happy with my 5 cz rifles. Also take a look at a FS model in 9.3x62 now that would be a sweet little thumper, oh how I would like to add one of those to my collection

Sorry, but I can't image why you would want a 308 or 30-06 with a detachable magazine when you can get that same rifle in a 9.3x62 with a drop-box magazine. I'm sure happy with mine.

I've got to admit, the 9.3x62 has caught my fancy for some time. The only problem is that I'm not sure I'm man enough!I can't say I'm especially recoil sensitive (although patterning 31/2" turkey loads is not my idea of fun), but I certainly prefer less, rather than more recoil. I actually prefer the non-detachable magazine, but kind of like the idea of the .308 in a little shorter and lighter action. I can live with a detachable magazine, but only if it is a solidly made affair.
