WesternmassmanSavage Accustock
I was in Erroll NH this past weekend and visited a gunshop that had a display Savage Accustock. The aluminum bedding looked pretty darn good. Does anyone have a new savage with the accustock? If so, hows it working?

GeedubyaWesternmassman,
Your post caught my attention
!
Lets see, could this be the town you referenced.......
I recently picked up a Savage 10 fcp chambered in 308.
It has both the accutrigger and accustock. I mounted a scope on it tonight. Hope to get to the range this week to shoot it. I'll post results after I shoot it. I typically shoot 150 gr. accubonds and sierra spitzers over rl-15 and varget. May try some 165 gr. sierra hpbt's over 4064 and imr 3031.

Bob in TXGeedubya,
You have got to stop mixing RL-15 and Varget in your loads. We keep warning you about that!?!
I look forward to seeing the new rig on the hog hunt!!
I wish they would go ahead and make aftermarket AccuStocks...........

GeedubyaBob, as long as you keep your shooting distance at 100 yds and your eyes open it seems to work pretty good. The key is to remember which powder to soak in "Paisano" over night and what percentage to use. And you'll have to pull my fingernails out (or get me full of cheap wine) before I divulge my recipe (unlike Jeffe).
The group below was shot at 99 yds, with at least one eye open. Also helps to have a rifle that shoots well, as the above will do.

Michael A. Glass OH MY GOD!!! YOU SHOT A BABY DEER!!!!You horrible man!!!!

PETA will find you and kill your dog!!!!

...sorry... been around too many liberals lately

Dittos on Savage quality. Perhaps the most UNDERappreciated rifle on the market. Have several myself, and could use a few more!!
Now... go shoot a REAL deer

GeedubyaMichael, actually as he was one of those texas pen raised ear tagged spotted pygmy deer that have four club feet, I chased him down and cut his throat with the knife in the picture. Just used the cape for effect.
Here is a picture of one taken shortly before the hide stretching process
