some advice please
I'm looking into getting another 3006. Its between a tikka hunter, win 70 supergrade, and a kimber. The tikka isnt in the same class but I have t3 lite and it works well. I love the looks of the win but they seem a bit heavy. The kimber is beautiful but have found a good bit of negative remarks. What do you guys think? thanks.

O.K., I'm sure there's a reason you desire a 2nd .30/06 Sprg. - obviously, you want Pork Chops; not Steak.
Buy the Tikka Hunter in .300 Win. Mag. and never ask another question.
Have fun w/your search.

Blue DogRPW......I have a total now of 23 model 70 Winchester hunting (various calibers and styles) rifles in pre-64 action or the classic etc. I own 5 big bore DGR rifles in model 70 Winchester.
1 Remington in 35-Whelen
2 Browning Bars .338mag & 25-06
3 Ruger modele 77 bolt guns
4 new Savage model 12's for varmint/predator hunting.
I would go the route of the model 70 Winchester bolt gun with all the Bells & Whistles already installed at the factory. Control Round Fed magazine, Big Claw Extractor, 3-Position Safety....only real safety in the industry!

Bear in FairbanksHands down, the Winchester. You couldn't pay me enough to take a Kimber and the Tikka looks like it has a PLASTIC, detachable magazine. Something else to break, malfunction or get lost. Not for me.
