IMR-7828sc/.300 Win.mag.
Has anybody had experience with this powder?I plan to try it with a .300 Win.mag. and a 168 TSX.My Quick Load predicts a little over 3200 f/s @ 61400 psi.How sensitive is this powder to temperature variations. Please advise.(Barrel is a 25.3" Hart ss and the chamber is cut to minimal SAAMI).
Thanks,
Jim

I have been using 7828 in my .260, .280 & 7mm Dakota & find it a good fit w/ med. to heavy bullets. I especially like the 7828ssc for the .260, it allows me to get the charge wieghts I want w/o over compression. It seems pretty temp. stable per my Oehler & I've shot my loads from 30-100deg.

I played with it in my 300 wby mag this fall. It got virtually identical speeds as the older long kernal 7828 I had on hand. If you gun likes it the new stuff should be perfect for the win mag as far as better use of the case capacity goes.

I haven't used the sc/ssc powders, but as for the regular IMR 7828, I like it and have had no bad experiences or pressure peaks whatsoever. In fact, the only bad thing I can say is it's a bitch to run thru my Lyman #55 powder measure.
