prairiebomber300 ultra mag real world velocities???????
Just curious to see what the handloaders are coming up with,from the 300 ultra mag. Specifically shooting 165 gr bullets. Also what is the most accurate rifle to put this cartrige in. Savage,Remington,Win etc. every guns different and everybody has preferences,just want to see what the majority is. Anybody matching saeeds loads and test velocities from the reloading section??

HarperMy buddy is pushing the 3500 mark with his 300Rum 165gr match kings shoots they do .3 at 100 yards 3 shots, he also uses them on yotes that are beyond his reach for 25-06.
Gun of choice is a sendero with a lilja barrel fluted muzzle break 32" cryo treated expensive none the less but very very accurate with match kings best groups hes gotten is .190 that in the 240 gr range though.

mr.bigwith a Factory 26 inch Rem I get 3675 with RL22 and 150 Partitions and 3450 with 180 SGK and RL 25.

stubblejumperMy two 300ultramags deliver 3375fps and 3395fps with 180gr handloads.I have done very little work with 165gr bullets but I have had them at over 3500fps.

mr.bigFed 210 GM primers and Rem brass.
150 Partition 96.5 grs RL 22
180 SGK BTSP 97 grs RL 25
I prefer the 150 as it shoots nice round groups and shoots FFFFFLLLLLLLAAAAATTTTTTTTTTTTTT
