tjrobertsWhat stock for my 7mm Mag,
I have a good shooting Ruger hawkey, In 7 mm mag, I sanded the pressure point off the for tip and it improved things. But the stock flexes to much for my liking, and i am thinking a want a quality drop in replacement.
I like the HS precision, Its not to expensive at about 400.00 , anybody have a better option ?
Thanks...tj3006

CougarzMaybe you already have but stockys is a great place to look at several brands all in the same place and do a little comparison shopping.

swampshooterI also like the HS Precision. I put one on a problem child Rem. 700 in 7 mag and it turned into a sub moa rifle.

QuintusThe HS Precision are nice and I also like the Bell and Carlson Medalist. The B&C seems a little less picky with screw tension and will save you $100.00.

Bell and Carlson Don't make a Medalist ti fit the M2 or Hawkeye. To bad though stockys is worth another look...tj30063

larrysYou just have to remember to skim bed the HS just like a wood stock. They are not always an exact fit...like never I have found. That takes care of the screw tension issues. For my 700s, they are not always really round.

Rsm458LottMcMillan no question. No other company is even close. I have used most of them and no body has the QC that McMillan has on fit and finish.

Place a layer of bedding compound between the stock and the action.
Youtube has tons of videos on bedding rifles.
