if browning and winchester are the same company and i have read they guys are haveing problems with there 270 wsm and i have seen and shot 4 separate browning abolts .... how can a company have such a difference in guns . all 4 that i shot are smooth and accurate and the trigger pull is almost non existant .... some one please explane ..... the brownings are cheaper two

If Browning and Winchester are the same company then thats news too me. I find it hard to imagine that two of the biggest names in lever guns would actually be one conglomarite competing against itself.

Browning was at one time based in Morgan Utah, Im not sure where theyre made now, (Japan??). US repeating arms manufactures the Winchester rifles now, Winchester only builds the ammunition so you could be right.

Winchester (USRAC) has indeed become part of FN-Browning in Herstal / Belgium. The present owner is the Walloon government (= French speaking Belgium). The group is open for sale, insofar most of production / employment is retained in Belgium.
