MandebvuMate, just read your thread with nothing but keen interest. I love to see how these Golden Oldies perform with modern components.
Thanks for makeing my day!

MajorCaliberNice rifles, and the 7x57 is a great cartridge.

schromfAlf,
As usual your taste in rifles is impeccable. Love your old Rigby's.

Frank MartinezThank you Alf. Is it possible you have many, many more photos of the old Rigby. Especially keen to see more of the takedown.
Not only beautiful but shooters ta boot.

Try to look unimportant. Your enemy might be low on ammo.

100 Meters. Great shooting.

Makes you feel extra good when classic rifles shoot that good.

ArthurOldsAlf...that is not fair...every time I get ready to do the 30-06 again...up comes your 7X57's and I start to think all over again...when you run the numbers, there really is not much difference inside 300 yds with handloads (if you excuse the bore diameter, and that does count for something)...your collection is certainly amazing...Arthur Olds

sierra2LOL, guys, I love it when people realize how good the 7x57mm really is!!!!!!!! Sure, I am a .30-06 freak too, but that does not mean I don;t use the 7x57mm, (or lesser rounds) when the situation demands it - like just about every time I go hunting here in Texas. You just don't need more power than the 7x57mm, or the similar rounds available today. Damn, the 7x57mm is good!!!

TerryRI have a dakota model 76 in 7X57. It's pretty good in a new rifle too.

Yes, I strongly agree.
Have you tried H-414 powder in the 7x57? I think it gives even better results than the 4350 powders.
