KWardYou might get many more responses in the single shot category. I have a Browning78 which is the same gun in 6mm and just love it.

vapodognice guns.....but accuracy can be difficult to attain regardless of the advertizing done....this is also true of the Ruger #1
Be your own judge.

Willie BWe've sold two and they both shoot under MOA; both are 300WSM. They're both using factory ammo.

7 MAGVapodog what seems to be the problem with accuracy of this rifle ? And if bad how do you correct it ?

cowboy77845I have shot a 270 and a 25-06 that are most accurate, right out of the box. I prefer shooting the 1885 rather than the Ruger No.1. Gripping the lever on the No. 1 changes the POI. Gripping rhe stock and lever on the 1885 does not.

meteMy 1885 in 45-70 will easily get 1" groups with any factory load. When I got mine I noticed that the hanger didn't sit firmly on the receiver due to inspection stamps on the receiver I corrected that before I shot it .Could that be Vapodogs problem?
