browningguyNew .300 Winny
Been a while since I've been here on a regular basis, too much work and travel causes lots of problems. Just wanted to post a couple of pics of my newest rifle that Jeffeosso helped me get up and running today.
Dumoulin barrelled action c. 1962 marked Alaskan Rifles with Belgian proofs. The factory stock and trigger were damaged from being stored since new in Alaska in the original box. The factory bolt jeweling is quite welld done as is the factory blueing. I put it in a B&C stock with aluminum bedding block, Jeffe added a Bold trigger for me. I know the Weaver style bases aren't pretty, but I like them because they always work.
I'm really impressed with the stock, it fits very well in areas such as the bolt release. I did a little dremel work to fit the safety, and a little contouring around the rear of the barrel channel, other than that nothing required. Hopefully the rain will cooperate and I can get out shooting next weekend to try it out.

Fish30114Great, really functional hunting rig, great caliber, and great bases as far as I'm concerned.
What rings are those on those bases?
Good looking too IMO.
Thanks for sharing the pics.
