I just acquired a Winchester Model 100 and wondered if you had one how do you like it?

I had a M100 carbine in .308 Win. It was a good rifle for all-around hunting use, BUT...

One thing I would caution you about - find a load it really likes and stick with that when you take the M100 out hunting. They can be a MISERABLE PITA requiring three hands and a well-bitten tongue to clear when they jam. Mine liked most factory ammo, but not all. It absolutely hated IVI '74 Canadian military ball ammo, and didn't care too much for warmish handloads either.
