In Sweden there is a six gun/rifle limit for hunting,

in accordance with this I had to sell an old friend to another friend about a year ago,

well she is back as of now,

and as a celebration I went out and got here a nice pink grape marble McM classic stock.

What do you guys think?








In short, 9,3x62 FN made action done by Husqvarna, Timmney trigger and Talley QD mounts and soon to come a 1,5-6x42 S&B with a BDC-drum.

This will be my new/old poor weather rifle/driven game rifle.

That's a girly-man stock. I hope you got it for free.

I find that a real man can wear and use a grape purple rifle, if you can´t well then that is your loss.

I´ll guess that I will get more than a few remarks for this one but I´ll be glad to have a poor weather rifle to use when the Ds has to stay at home.

The white-balance on those photos were so out of whack, I couldn't even see the purple (everything looked yellow-brownish).

I don't know how you guys were able to see it?

I was able to see the purple after adjusting the photos.

Thanks Steffen, I still have the original stock and there might be one made in valnut as well however we both know how Sweden is in late fall, I need a rifle that can stand taking a bath and still work.

Hey, if it gets you to take her out into the field where she belongs...I see nothing wrong with that.

I just finished up a Husky M146 that has been rechambered to 9.3x62. A sweet rifle.

Z1r- the old stock is cracked, pinned and glued, then bedded.

I would not sell it to a friend and hence not to any one.

I´ll keep the old stock for a later date, perhaps when my taste in rifles has swung again.

This one rifle is the one that is brought everywere, she is a can do kind of rifle, has never failed me either.

Very Fine!! A nice and practical departure from the "boring" black synthetics. Truly unique. A very nice rifle.

forrest B, out forefathers did get on with wodden stocks, however had they had ther opportunity to use Mcmillans they would have, they all hunted for the kill not for the reason to come home and say, hi honey, today I have hunted with a wodden stock on my rifle.

I carried a heavy Grizzly defence rifle daily for months at a time in the very rugged B.C. coastal mountains as well as all over the rest of the province and much of wilderness Alberta. I wouldn't care what it looked like if it feels good and shoots to the same point of impact dry, damp or soaked. That stock is an interesting departure from the typical flat black tactical "sniper" stock.

and yes, I like the grape purple marble that the stock is colored in,

my idea is that it will work a bit like Blaze camoflage ie my hunting buddies will see me and the game, driven and moose will not.

My Sako AV in 416 Remington Magnum (class of 1991) has a McMillan Sako Hunter style stock - perfectly balanced with a 1-4 Swarvo. That will someday again be my hunting in the slush rig.

I also have a beautiful factory walnut stock that is cross bolted and bedded to a fair the well. That will take me to the Lowveld in grand style.

The original stock is cracked and not so pretty; that will be my pattern stock for anything that kicks worse than a .375 H&H.

You see, I can have my cake and eat it as well. Please send me a picture of you, your rifle and a deceased moose next fall.

You don't need to make anyone happy here but yourself. If you want to hunt with a purple rifle well, by all means, have at it. It's none of anyone's business but your own. I never once thought you were a barbarian.

cewe, Sometimes severe alcohol abuse leads to neurological dysfunction. Color perception is affected from the blue to the white. Purple is a primary of red and blue. Pink is of primary red and neutral white.

truth to be told he is great hunter/writer and and a true gun lower,

to bad he thinks I am gay, sure I am usually a happy puppy but gay, no I am not that happy.

One thing about the finns is that they are allowed unlimited amounts of rifles for hunting, great for them and well that also gives them every opportunity to collect and be picky about there rifles...
