Wouldn't it be cool if...

They did a 9.3x62? Or a 7.65 Argentine? They are both fairly pretty classic and modern ammunition is available. Or, do up a short action and chamber it for a .250 Savage or 22-250? (If either of those have not been down already.)

Or, if they've exhausted the .473" headsize and standard length action...a .375 H&H is definitely a classic, a nice change, and surely something nobody can't live without.

Just my $.02.

Gentlemen

9,3X62, 9,3X64 or 8X68S would be nice. Also the 7X64 Brenneke, 8X64S or 6,5X68 could be good classics

A wildcat like 8,5X57 would been an ideal woods caliber

It's about time for Remington to legitimize the 338-06. I know, A Square was the first, but hey, how many A Square rifles have you seen around? I have yet to see one.
Of course, there is the negative competition with the already Remington legitimized 35 Whelen.....but I think they would sell quite a few rifles in 338-06.

Well, it's about time for SOMEONE to legitimatize the .338/'06! It should be available in a coup[le of rifles that are within the average guy's pocketbook! Like for instance, a Weatherby Vanguard instead of just a MARK V, the M70, the M700, and/or even a nice CZ......

284 Winchester - try to find a used one out there in any rifle is a real challenge.

I don't know what it will be but I can pretty well say what it won't be: 6.5/06, 8mm/06, 338/06, any AI cartridges, or any other wildcat. Sales would be very dismal if they cam out with a wildcat and I din't think that Remington wants to come out with any new cartridges at this time unless it is a UM or SUM.

I have a Classic in .350 RM and would love to have a matching 6.5 RM. Also have one of the 40X Sporters in .22 LR but a less expensive one would be nice for squirrel hunting. But they are really missing the boat by not bringing one out in .358 Winchester. They would sell all of them and then end up having them in a regular production rifle just like the .221 Fireball. How many years were people yelling for a rifle in .221 FB...30? They finally make a Classic, sell them all out and now they have a special edition laminated one as stock production. Now several other makes like CZ and Kimber are making rifles for the .221. What is wrong with those people in marketing?

I agree with BFaucett, Classic rifles should be chambered in classic calibers! 9.3 x 62 or 64

Heard from a personal friend at Remington. Apparently the 2005 chambering will be the 325 RSAUM.

Just a joke relating to Winchester's introduction of the 325 WSM. Remington got caught napping again and has to catch up!

I'm betting it will be a .308
A truely classic chambering that hasn't been done yet.
