Woodjack350remMag on WSM action..Yes or No?
Theres a 300wsmFW that keeps getting my eye at the local, I do like the feel of the rifle,Im just not fussed on wsm cartridge, each to his own.
I was thinking it should be a 350Rm. Plenty room to load long(3.08"magbox)
Exhisting 300wsm barrel profile should accomdate at least a 22".35cal tube.
if its .600"@24" then I can go 24".
(Can someone please measure their WSM muzzle)
Now,would the AR Elite be kind enough to grace us with what they do/dont like about the idea in general??

remboI built my 350 Rem Mag on a stainless short Rem 700 BDL that was a 300SAUM. It feeds perfectly. My 22" barrel is .630" at the muzzle and the rifle weighs 7lbs 6oz in a factory LVSF stock with a 2.5-8X Leupold.

PeglegWhat about the bolt face? Is the 404 case and 350 RemMag close enought to not make feeding an issue?

DwightThe 350 Rem Mag rim dia is .532, 300SAUM is .534 and 300WSM is .535 so there is very little difference and should not be a problem.

Hey bmw5, How did you do it? Was it a re-bore or did they drill out the barrel stub and cut threads in the receiver? I thought the 673 barrels were "Pressed in", but maybe I got that mixed up.
Good Hunting and clean 1-shot Kills.

biglmbassThink you've crossed a wire somewhere. The 673 is a model Seven action w/ typical screwed in tube.

sodakotaI have a 350 on a 600 action. I like the caliber and I have found some very good loads. The 600 action is to short for some of the bullets though -- the ogive starts to close to the base of the cartridge and the bullet will drop into the case. Not a problem with all bullets just some such as Hornady RN 250 gr.
I think with your rifle it out to be great.
The pressed in model was the 710 and the 770, I believe.

Thank you and Sodakota. I did get them mixed up.
