Has there been any issues with these rifles? How does the cocking lever hold up(any breakages) on use, wear & falls?
Cheers

Jeff SullivanAre you asking about a Mauser M03 or Blaser R-93?
I don't think a M03 has a "cocking lever", but a R-93 does. I have a R-93, and they are great guns. The website in my signature line will link you to a Blaser, Mauser and Sauer enthusiast message board.

340WbyThe M03 has a cocking lever with the same 'sort of' principle as the R93.
Sir. I have been down the R93 road. Fine rifles too! Now I'm looking at Sauer 202, Steyr & M03's, just for a change

GanyanaHave two friends with M03- they work very well.
I personally prefer the cocking system on the blaser- becuase it is like the one on my Krieghoff double and I just haven't shot the M03 enough to get used to the side push.
I have a Sauer 202 (in 9,3 x62) - very smooth!
Have a Steyr eleite 08- shoots like a dream but I have other issues with it..Would buy a scout but not another 08

GanyanaA couple of friends have them- had them for more than a few years (one is a prototype) and they work- as advertised.
I have a sauer 202 (funnily enough in 9,3- if you read the rest of the controvesy on me recently!)
I also have a steyr elite 08 - Wong chocie that one- nice enough for F class but stock cuts my hand every time on a fast reload..and don't need a folding stock on an F class rifle... few other niggles but cannot complain about the accuracy!

Jeff SullivanSince I already have a R-93 and a Sauer 202, I had actually been looking at the M03's too. When I was seriously looking at them in late 2008, the availability was in question, and I bought a Blaser BBF 97 instead and couldn't be happier.

505EDTip Burns at
www.canyonsportingarms.comhad a nice selection last time I was out there. I have been looking at an M03 myself for sometime. I have a lot of R93 stuff, so it is hard for me to invest in a new system, but I will say the M03 is a more substantial rifle than the Blaser, and if I was investing in a system today the M03 would be the way I would go for a bolt gun.

RustyI am saving my pennies to buy an '03 from Tip. As far as I am concerned it seems to be a great system. I agree with Ed, it is a substantial rifle!
