That must be a takedown and of course it's a very interesting gun. I am a big fan of the 99 Savage and I would buy that gun for $800!

Savage99... I just watched an old Charles Brawson movie entitled "Death Hunt". The move takes place in Canada and is about the Mounties hunting Charles. Anyway Charles Brawnsons Charecter uses a savage 99, a few others in the movie were useing Krags. Funny movie... even has some homosexual trappers in it lol

Yea but Bronson uses the 99!

That's a good movie. Bronson seemed like the real deal to me, as much as an actor could be.

Gentlemen,

I would definitely buy that takedown model for that price. What a great combination, and it's not something everyone else has.

Yes if you just want to look at them I found savage take downs soon develop head space trouble if you shoot them a lot. I belive the 410 barrel well have to be loaded single shot. A nice collector item but not very useful. You can buy a good 99 for around 250 to 400 and that would leave you another 300 plus for a good shot gun you would be much better off if you are going to use them as hunting guns.

I was looking at for hunting/investment,but if has a head space problem, would you let your kids or grandkids hunt with it.I have rifles to hunt any land creature on this continent, so was more for investment, and hand me down gun when Iget to oldto carry it.A kind of hearitage thing I guess, probably wouldnt make any money on it any way. Thanks for your inputs.

As I understand it, the 410 barrel alone, if original, can bring as much as $700. This is just hearsay, but bears investigation.
